Chimney flashing is one of the most failure-prone exterior roofing components on any structure. It consists of thin metal sheets, typically aluminum, copper, or galvanized steel, installed where the chimney meets the roof surface. The flashing creates a watertight barrier at this critical junction, redirecting rain and runoff away from the seam.

Over time, flashing can crack, lift, or corrode. Thermal expansion and contraction cycles, common with our hot Texas summers and cooler winters, gradually loosen the seal.
